There Should Probably Be A Tag Line Here….Meh!

A Party Just Wouldn’t be the Same Without…

..An analysis of it on a popular humour website!

On a slightly more serious note, there are some events that always happen at a party regardless of size or occasion. Any party just wouldn’t be good without these events and scandals. If you ever plan on hosting a house party, ensure that everything on this list occurs. Your future as a party venue depends on it.

  • Drinking Games Every good party should start off with a few good drinking games. They provide a base for everybody to have a few drinks so awkward social interactions with people they don’t know become a thing of the past.
  • Music people hate but sing along to anyway
Every good party I’ve been to has played Disney songs near the end. Now Disney songs are utter crap but everybody joins in and sings along anyway. If you play most Disney songs backwards they provide a hypnotic rhythm that the US Military use to recruit potential soldiers that visit Epcot in Disney World. Any good host will ensure Disney songs are played from 1:30 am until the end of the party.
  • Violent Scuffles Now violence is probably the wrong word to use here as most scuffles involving alcohol finish in a lot of man hugs and wasted beer. That being said, every party should have at least one confrontation. It spices proceedings up a bit and keeps everybody on their toes. Note: 57% of people who stay at a party after 1am are only staying to see if a conflict develops.
  • A couple breaking up This is my favourite one. The best bit of any party is the blazing row that the token couple have about half way through. Watching the two people drunkenly shout insults at each other through floods of tears as everybody stares slack jawed, only moving their mouths to swallow more alcohol is why a party goes from mediocre to legendary. If it looks like the token couple are having fun, spread a rumour to gives things a jump start.
  • The All Nighter Team If we are not at your party, it will be dull. Fact.

Now, I have left things like: “Shit loads of alcohol” and “some awesome people” out because it wouldn’t be a party at all without those things. The points I have mentioned is what separates the “meh” parties from the ones that make you want write about it in your shitty LiveJournal blog. So go forth, plan your party. Make it awesome.
